We are delighted to welcome Dr Lisa Haerteis to the group as a postdoctoral researcher!
Lisa has a background in electrical engineering and photonics. She completed her PhD in Germany, where her research focused on fibre-optic sensing and the interrogation of fibre Bragg gratings (FBGs) using a compact optical frequency-domain reflectometry (OFDR) system.
She then moved to Adelaide, where she worked on stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) in lithium niobate and indium gallium phosphide (InGaP). Her current research focus is on-chip microwave photonics, and she is joining us as a postdoctoral researcher working with Moritz and Ben.
Outside the lab, Lisa is passionate about yoga and is also a certified yoga teacher. She enjoys reading, spending time at the beach, coastal hiking, board games, and travelling.
